After writing a slightly negative review on a charity shop in Romford that I visited yesterday, I feel that credit where credit due. This is a great charity shop with prices that reflect our times and difficulties with the cost of new items. This is one of my gripes with certain charity shops, as like yesterday with one, where they overcharge on quite a few items.

This shop is a gem, always full of things to look at and if so desire purchase at a price that suits my limited income. There is always new stuff to look at whenever I go in, which again is due to good pricing to keep a flow of in and out stock. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful which is always a plus point when visiting any kind of shop.

There is always something to find here that is unusual or different which can then be used as a gift to make someone happy while supporting a good cause.

Thanks to all the staff for all your hard work and making us customers feel valued, it is noticed and appreciated.

I visited the store Romford branch on Friday morning. As I walked in the curly haired male shop assistant was walking behind me. I went on a stall to look at blazers and the shop assistant suddenly was walking around the same stall, pretending to organise the clothes on. I walked to look the tea pots on the shelves and he followed behind me. There were other people on other areas but they were not followed. I asked the shop assistant why he was following me and not everyone else.. he said he wasn’t but clearly he was. I figured he thinks am going to steal something because of my skin color. I just walked out of the shop. It’s really stupid behaviour and this whole thing of being prejuduced or being targeted in a shop and followed around is ridiculous and creepy.

Went there and there so many nice and beautiful stuffs and clothings there . My sister forgot her purse when we went there and we came back two days later with zero hopes in getting in back but we just went to at least ask. And yep they had safely kept in case we came back and to avoid anyone stealing it and everything was intact . We were so grateful and happy . Now that’s building trust and I was grateful .

Went in this afternoon and purchased a large mirror. Girl on the till was too busy chatting to colleagues to even struggle with a please or thank you. No offer of any packaging like bubble wrap or anything. I will be taking my business to one of the many other charity shops in Romford next time. Manors cost nothing, especially if you have the decency to support charity.

Good sides: wide offering, all items are in good conditions. Downsides: I could sense a certain level of entitlement from some members of the staff, as if their clientele was to be taken for granted – which made the entire shop come across quite unprofessional. I witnessed some rather rude behaviour (heard them “chop chop” a client browsing through their clothing, clearly interested in buying – If i did this when I had my retail job, I would have been fired on the spot!!) – they probably forgot that there are at least 4-5 other charity shops within
